Day Three of the My Happy Place RAL
Today is the third installment for the My Happy Place row along and blog hop. I know you will not be disappointed with the wonderful designers that are featured today. If you are just joining us this week you are in for a treat. The way this row along works is every week of the schedule on Tuesday and Thursday a set of designers/bloggers are featured to showcase a quilt row that they have designed. The pattern will be available that day and for at least a week after to download for free. Each blog will have a giveaway that is specific to their blog so you’ll want to visit them all and get entered for all of the fun prizes provided by the sponsors. At the end of the row along there will be a show-and-tell day where several of the designers have tried out other rows and will show off their finished projects. This is a great way to see how some of the rows can be used together in quilts or other larger projects. Some of the rows make great pillows, table runners, wall hangings; there are lots of possibilities.
The row along is organized by Marian at Seams to be Sew, and she does a fantastic job every year of keeping us all in line. She also has a list of all of the rules and details. She has a collection of all the giveaways as well each week. Make sure you visit her and leave a comment letting her know these events are appreciated. Northcott Fabrics has generously provided designers this year with fabrics to stitch out their rows. If you are not familiar with them you should definitely check out their fabrics. I just love some of the new ones they have come out with this year. It is hard to visit the site without purchasing at least ten new fabrics.
And now for today’s info. Below are the featured blogs/designers for today. If you missed last week’s features see the related articles at the end of this post for the full list of participants.

Halloween Applique Blocks and Quilt
Fall is very quickly approaching and one of my favorite holidays is Halloween. I have always loved the decorations and dressing up. I still love the candy and dressing up and seeing all the children in costumes every year. It is very nearly time to get out the pumpkins and ghost and start decorating. Since the weather turns chillier this time of year as well it only seems natural that the first quilt pulled out also be Halloween themed. I have put together nine Halloween themed applique blocks that can be used separately to make Halloween pillows, place mats, or wall hangings. Stitch your three favorites together and you have a spooky table runner or body pillow. All nine make up the perfect sized lap quilt to enjoy the chillier fall evenings. Choose just your favorite and make several of just that block in many different colors to create a one-of-a-kind quilt. Imagine the witches shoes all done with different stocking fabrics! Now through Halloween if you add all nine blocks to your shopping cart you will get a $5 discount instantly at checkout. Check out the full selection HERE.
