Easy Ruffled Afghan Pattern with Caron Cakes yarn

This fun and quick Easy Ruffled Afghan Pattern is a must if you have Caron Cakes that you just don’t know what to do with.  You can use this pattern with other yarns, but the Caron Cakes create a whole new striping effect in this pattern.

Using two cakes at a time the afghan builds quickly and the longer striping yarn creates a variegated effect that you really can’t get anywhere else.  It works best with the cakes where the colors are closer together.  Bumbleberry, Cookies and Cream, Boston Cream, and Faerie Cake would all work well.

This afghan measures 40″ x 54″ before the ruffled edge.  It is the perfect size to snuggle on the couch.  It would also be the perfect size for a young child to carry around.  It works up so soft and cozy, you’ll want to make one in every color!

This pattern requires a N crochet hook and 6 Caron cakes of your color choice.  Required stitches include Double Half Crochet and V-Stitch.
